*** Its a win for the Par 3 Club (just) ***
On Thursday, 4th October 2018 the Seniors Section hosted a “just for fun” Ryder Cup style event. Due to circumstances it was agreed to run it as a “Seniors” versus “Par 3 Club” event.
A special thank you goes to Steve Duty (Seniors Vice Captain) for coming up with the idea for the event, and agreeing to include the Par 3 Club in this way.
This was mainly about having a fun day and indeed everyone was in good spirits throughout.
The competition was held on the Main Course and consisted of 5 Pairs Matchplays and 10 Singles Matchplays. So a total of 15 Points to be played for.
The 5 Pairs matches led the way. The Seniors won 2 and the Par 3 Club won 3.
The points from the Singles matches were shared equally 5 & 5.
Therefore the final score was Seniors : 7 and Par 3 Club : 8
