Norwood Park & Ramsdale Park

Today was our home friendly with Ramsdale Par 3 Club and the weather was kind. After all the rain of recent days yesterday’s sun and today’s sun and wind has begun to dry the courses at Norwood out. Our thanks go to the Green Staff who work hard to get the course into good playing condition following the green maintenance and recent bad weather.

36 of us played a “best 2 from 4 Stableford” competition with 2 Norwood and 2 Ramsdale players in each team.

Nearest the Pin was won by Dinger Bell from Norwood. Dinger just pipped Ramsdale Par 3 Club Chairman, Richard Hone……who was delighted to present the prize!! Congratulations Dinger.

The runners up in the Stableford Competition were John Phillips (Ramsdale) and Roger Mellor (from Norwood but representing Ramsdale) with Norman and Hilary Wright (Norwood) with 82 points.

In first place were Beresford Bell and Derek Mellor (Ramsdale) with Paul Zdanowski and Mike Isbell (Norwood) with 83 points.

Congratulations to both teams and, indeed, all the teams who came so close!

Thanks to all those in the kitchen and behind the bar for coping so well with 37 of us and also the Seniors Match……coincidently against Ramsdale, that was taking place at the same time.
